Intensive Care Unit(ICU) Service in Vadodara
The Medical Respiratory ICU is a 9 bedded unit specializing in the care of critically ill adult patients with non-surgical respiratory and/or medical disease by providing timely and organized care.
We specialize in the management of all types of respiratory emergencies which include patients with - Respiratory Failure, ARDS , Acute Exacerbations of COPD and Asthma, Acute Exacerbations of ILD, Pulmonary Edema, Acute Pulmonary embolism, serious acid base and electrolyte disturbances, Cardiogenic shock, acute MI's secondary to a primary diagnosis and Sepsis.
Our medical interventions include mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, infusion of vasoactive agents, I.V antibiotics, heparin, and insulin, administration of parenteral nutrition, 2DEcho doppler studies and transfusion of blood and blood products. Our specialists are experts at performing routine ICU procedures like endotracheal intubation, central venous and arterial line, fiberoptic bronchoscopy, thoracocentesis, Intercostal Tube Insertion.
Our Nursing Team is specially trained to cater patients admitted to this unit requiring specific interventions to manage problems related to pulmonary toilet and ventilator support, nutritional support, immobility, support of cardiovascular and hemodynamic functions, anxiety and pain management, infection as well as meeting specific needs of patients families.
